About Us

22 Sierra Coffee Co.™ was founded in April of 2020 by two Veterans striving to make a difference.  Based in Mount Vernon, MO, we have established ourselves as a national brand through our partnerships and unique approach to making our givebacks part of our overhead.  Why? Because we believe in integrity and accountability, both of which can be missing from a "portion of profit" model.  We transparently donate $0.50 from each packaged coffee product sold to the Grunt Style Foundation to support their efforts.

The Mission:

The mission of 22 Sierra Coffee Co.™ is to provide specialty grade coffee to members and supporters of the military, veteran, and first responder communities and leverage strategic and impactful partnerships to enhance camaraderie, improve the post-service health of veterans, and prevent veteran and first responder suicide.

The Coffee:

Our specialty grade coffee is ethically sourced and roasted to order.  Unlike other brands, our coffee is not roasted past the "2nd crack" as a way to preserve the oils and maintain freshness.  We never sacrifice quality for margins, which means every single product contains 100% Arabica beans.  We never include lower grade Robusta beans which keeps our coffee from being bitter, even in our darkest roasts.

Our Shield Logo:

The Name - "22” is the number most commonly used when discussing veteran suicide. The name 22 Sierra is a play on the Army MOS format although it is not a real MOS. Putting “22” in the name serves as a constant reminder our company has a purpose that we pledge to never lose sight of.

The Shield - This represents the Defenders of our country and our communities.  The shield pays respect to the military, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service professionals working each day to keep America safe.

The Rooster - The rooster is our touch of humor.  It's an ice breaker.  It can represent the morning if you want it to, but for us, it's just a way to have fun.

The Stars - The first two stars represent the two friends we have lost to suicide.  The third represents all the others.
